Hi Robin,
My favorite musical eras are the mid-50's through the early 70's, so I was wondering - who are your personal favorite artists from that time frame? Whose music do you dig listening to when you're not busy writing and singing tunes of your own?
Thanks!

Laura
I remember in the 50's hearing "Be Bop A Loo La" on the radio by Gene Vincent & and loved the sound of it, I was 7 or 8 years old. I will never forget my mother that Christmas bought me his album as on of my gifts. Also I remember going to an Elvis Preslely movie & coming home & thinking all I wanted to do is be like him. Many other artists influenced me i.e. Tim Hardin, Buddy Holly & The Crickets, Roy Orbison, etc. One of my favorite albums of all time is James Brown live at the Apollo recorded in1962. Of course when the Beatles came along I followed them just like the rest of the youth of the world did. I also always loved the Bee Gees. When I heard "I Can't See Nobody" ( the b-side of New York Mining Disaster) it blew me away. Crosby ,Stills Nash & Young & the Eagels I also love. Today I like to listen to mostly good oldies , but also Norah Jones who is a bonifide superstar.
Love Robin
